About Me

Exercise or vs eating healthy; Which is better for weight loss and health?

Define healthy. Is it the amount of steps we walk in a day? Is it choosing a salad over a burger? Or is it simply finding the right combination that works for ourselves?
How many of you have tried to diet, and became increasingly frustrated when the endless amounts of salad, or twice a day workouts did not work?
You’re not alone! The truth is, there isn’t one simple definition to healthy.The success is in your planning.
It’s finding the right combination of eating healthy and exercising that is going to lead you to your ultimate results.
Exercising is good for your heart, it jump starts your metabolism and great for building muscle.
 Unfortunately, exercise alone will not you too far. In order to maximize your results, pair exercise with clean and healthy eating.

Now where do we begin? It’s always good to lay out guidelines for yourself. This is a positive way to stay on track and focused. When creating your plan start with these simple tasks;

-Educate yourself: It is important to understand your body and how it works. Here at South Jersey Health and Body we offer nutrition evaluations.
Our goal at South Jersey Health and Body is to help you better understand the basics of a healthy lifestyle, while simultaneously assessing yours. At South Jersey Health and Body we give you the necessary tools to succeed on your own.

-Set goals, and be realistic! : There is nothing more satisfying than reaching your goals. Set them from the start. Make sure they are measurable and attainable.
 If you know it is unrealistic for you loose 10 lbs in a few days with no effort, don’t do it! Unrealistic goals will only set you back. Start small and move toward a larger goal. Good things come to those who wait!

-Drink water: Water is crucial for any health plan. It’s good for your skin, metabolism and overall health. A general rule of thumb is to drink 8 glasses of water a day.

-Take vitamins: Vitamins are a great way to give our body the nutrients we need. Our body thrives on things that even eating healthy cannot provide. We offer a wide selection of high quality vitamins with 0% fillers.

Once you have begun your plan, stick to it! The first two weeks are always the hardest. It is important to remember that being healthy is a lifestyle change, NOT a diet. Dedicate yourself to your goals, and soon you will reap the benefits.
